Back from a four months hiatus

A part of Gergely's beautiful army.

Haven't posted in a while simply because I didn't play any games - Dystopian Wars was too attractive for a change. Since I am in the Swiss DW Cup I am still gonna play there, but tonight I played my Trollbloods again.

The game was ok because Gergely brought beautiful models and I still love my Trolls, but this taught me once again that there are no easy wins in WM/H - so if you have a thirst for winning, it's gonna be a long road.

We agree to match up my pDoomshaper T4 list with +Gergely Gati's eKaya. I knew they were going to teleport the hell out of me, so my basic plan was to create a belt of Runeshapers and Whelps to block their movement to my juicier Trolls.

Gergely sets up and goes first.

And there we have the problem at the end of his turn 1 already - he's pretty much in charge of all mission objectives and flag after *one* turn of movement. I decide to play it aggressively if I want to have any chance at ever getting near those objectives.

My army runs its 10 inches. I don't worry about the right flank with the Mountain King, but I send a prayer to heaven that the Runeshapers on the left make it long enough. BIG mistake here: do you see the empty spot in the center, left to the Mountain King and behing the wall? That's where he teleported. :-/

After Gergely's turn 2, Janissa and Mulg are gone and eKaya's feat pulls back the beasts again. My infantry belt? All but gone.

My desperate attempt to still do something. The EBDT is sent to the left flank to reinforce it, but he falls short of doing any attack. It can't be clearly seen here, but the Mountain King is blocked by Shifting Stones he has to clear away first, so in this turn he's basically doing nothing.

In Gergely's turn, the left flank evaporates and he's moving in to dominate the flag there.

My last option is to swing back to the right and have my Mountain King grab a CP or two from the lightly defended MO on the right. pDoomshaper toes the wood because he thinks he's save there. Because of this feeling I fill the Mountain King up on Fury in order to kill anything around the flag and the MO.

However, I should have known better - the pesky Druids move in again, tear my infantry screen apart, pull pDoomshaper closer...

...and the Warpwolf Stalker charges in with all the available buffs and kills pDoomshaper.

Well, I guess it's page 5 again.
